It’s been a lot of hard work, but the results are stunning. Our new 5-song EP, titled On the Hunt, will be released next Friday May 1st at the Coop Katacombes in Montreal, as part of the Anachornik Festival.

Tickets are on sale for $10; the EP is available for pre-orders, also for $10. Or do yourself a favor, and get both for $15.

And because we like to tease, we’ve come up with a simple promo video for the song “Outlive”, straight off the new EP, which you can view below. Are you ready to rock or what?

Recording for our new EP has now begun. Five awesome songs that we can’t wait to share with you all. It is set to be released early Summer, so stay tuned!

After selling out all copies of our eponymous album, we have decided to release a compilation titled Encore, available right now on CD. This compilation features songs from the Shine Lion album, the Go EP, as well as the song “Electric”, a live version of “Sun Sign” recorded at Le National, and an exclusive acoustic version of “Shake”. Ask your favorite band member for your copy right now.

Shine Lion is now busy working on new songs, which we can’t wait to share with you all. We will be recording new material early in the new year; get ready to rock your asses off! In the meantime, we want to thank you all for your ongoing support and wish you happy holidays; see you in 2014.

Shine Lion wants to express their gratitude to the numerous fans that came out and made our show at Le National a success. We had a blast playing on the big stage and it would not have been the same without the noisy, rockin’, head-banging crowd that you were!

After a more intimate show in Jonquière and a great night of Canadian Rock at the Pub St-Paul, Shine Lion is now taking a break from the stage to work on new material. Then we’ll be hitting the studio in December/January and we’ll have a new release coming out early 2014.

In the meantime, be sure to check in often, we’ll surely have some teasers up to easy the wait!

September 20th is approaching ever closer, and it brings along a huge event with October Sky and Shine Lion at the National in Montréal. We have a few surprises up our sleeves that will make this extra-special, and it’s safe to say this will be THE show you do NOT want to miss this year!

Shine Lion will also make a quick stop in Sorel-Tracy, on Friday September 6th; if you’re in the area, come and party with us, this will be a more intimate setting, but we just might give you a glimpse of what we have in store for the 20th. See you very soon!

Shine Lion launches Rock ta Vidéo. Make a quick video of yourself and/or friends rocking out to “Ready to Go” and claim one of many prizes we are offering, or a straight-up cash prize of $5. That’s right, we’re paying you to film yourself! All the details here.

Shine Lion will also take part in a fundraiser for the victims of Lac-Mégantic, this Saturday July 27th in Boisbriand. We will be hitting the stage at 3pm. Come on down and rock it out with us for a good cause!

Shine Lion is taking part in Musique Plus’s talent seek, with their video for “Electric”. You can go to their website and vote and comment for us, it only takes a few seconds and helps us a lot!

Also, just a reminder that Shine Lion will be playing Club Saw in Ottawa, next Friday June 28th. We’ll be sharing the stage with Metronome Jones, The Superlative, Bootes and Last Bullet. This will be one crazy rock night, so you don’t wanna miss it!

Shine Lion will be playing at Club Saw in Ottawa, on Friday June 28th. This will mark the band’s first live outing outside of Quebec, but certainly not the last!

As a big “Thank You” to all who shared our video for the song “Electric”, we are, for a limited time, offering the song as a free download. You can find it in our Média section.

Last but not least, the previously announced show featuring Shine Lion and October Sky now has an official date: mark September 20th on your calendars, this is one event you do not want to miss! It will be a one-off, specially created show at the National in Montreal, and will rock you out of your mind. More details and pre-sale information will be available shortly.

Due to circumstances out of our control, the May 25th show at the Cafe Campus has been postponed to a further date. We will post more information as soon as we have it.

In the meantime though, you don’t need to stay at home and wait, because Shine Lion will be playing at the Pub St-Paul on Saturday May 18th, in the old Montreal. Expect a night of great rock music, good beer and pleasant company!

A new era, a new image. Shine Lion unleashes its fresh new look as an explosive power trio. The website has been reworked to fit that new look, and soon, a new video will also be released for the song “Electric”.

And in celebration of that new release, Shine Lion will perform a special show in the big venue that is Café Campus in Montreal, on May 25th, alongside the excellent Canadian band October Sky, currently on tour to promote their new album “The Aphotic Season”. Tickets are on sale right now and can be obtained from the band members, or purchased through Admission; trust us, this is an event you do not want to miss!

So what’s Shine Lion up to for the beginning of 2013? We are working on some new songs, an improved visual show, and several other projects that we can’t wait to share with you guys and gals!

In the meantime, we have 2 upcoming shows, so why not come see us in person? We’ll be live at the

Studio 910 in Laval this Saturday February 23rd in an intimate up-close-and-personal setting. Or if you prefer the look and feel of a bigger stage with all the bells and whistles, come and see us at Petit Campus in Montreal on March 18th. We promise you will not be disappointed!

Shine Lion will be back at the Petit Campus in Montreal on January 28th. This time, no contests, no vote, no bullshit. A real Shine Lion performance, with 2 more excellent bands to boot! Tickets are on sale right now for $5 each, get them from band members or directly from Cafe Campus.

On another note, it is with regret that we inform you all of Jay’s departure from the band. Jay has decided to leave Shine Lion to pursue other creative interests, and we wish him good luck with these endeavors. But not to worry, Shine Lion will live on as a three-piece with Leo, Ced and Queen; if you were present at one of our latest shows, you’ve already seen this line-up in action.

Shine Lion will be taking part in season 2012-2013 of the Omnium du Rock in Montreal. The date of our first round will be announced shortly. Be sure to come and cheer for us!

We’re also taking this opportunity to update the contents of our web site. The Bio section has been reworked and now includes our drummer Queen, who has been with the band since March.

The new songs we recorded this Summer will be available in a few weeks, so come back soon and prepare to be blown away!
